About Us
The Old Vicarage is a substantial Grade II listed Georgian property built
c1822. Set in the heart of the picturesque village of Penally, overlooking
Tenby Links Golf Course and Carmarthen Bay with views of Caldey Island and
the Gower Peninsular, it is a perfect spot for anyone who wants to enjoy a
quieter location without being remote from the facilities and attractions
of Pembrokeshire’s premier resort. The historic harbour town of Tenby, with
its extensive facilities and attractions is about 1˝ miles away, and its
unspoilt South beach, a mile long stretch of golden sand, can be reached
in less than ten minutes on a footpath through the sand dunes. Penally has
a choice of three village pubs within an easy stroll- all providing warm
welcome to families as well as serving lunches and evening meals. The nearby
village shop and post office will provide your daily requirements, and give
you the chance to catch up on local gossip!
All the Old Vicarage Holiday Apartments are within the grounds of our own
home, so whilst you have plenty of privacy, we are always on hand should
you require any help with the accommodation, facilities or advice on how
to make the most of a day out.
We’re also open all year round – Penally retains it’s charm throughout the
winter, and our milder climate brings back more and more out-of-season
visitors each year. Every apartment has full central heating making them
a cosy retreat in the evenings. Tenby is one of the top places to visit
for New Years Eve celebrations – and of course there is the Boxing Day
swim in Tenby and New Years Day swim in neighbouring Saundersfoot for
only the bravest amongst you!
